Russian Standard Vodka Advert

This advert is addressing social position by first addressing what its target audience 20-40 year old socialites and finding out what they use to define social position then making the man in the advert a suave looking, upper class party goer who is presented like a role model to the viewer. This makes the viewer want to be like the man in the advert who has what the viewer is going to perceive as high class status symbols i.e the suit he is wearing. Their is also psychical attraction present because the part of the man and the extras are played by attractive people making the target audience want to buy the product to be with or like people similar to the adverts. The costume and settings are also expensive and glamourous appealing to the target audience because they want to experience the same things as the characters in the advert.

"Peter Kay Antiques road show" John smiths advert

here we have a humorous style of advert starring british comedian Peter kay who is playing the everyman on a popular television program the antique roadshow. The editing in this avert is well suited for the style of video not cutting to quickly and letting the awkward humor sink. The advert also has a realist narrative that has taken place over a few years starring peter kay as the same everyman. Camera angles are used well here to show characters reactions recreate the shots from the television show and promote the John Smiths beer.

Pepsi 2003 advert Beckham vs Casillas

here we have a parodic style in this 2003 pepsi advert making fun of the western genre this is because the setting and the mise en scene is accurate but the casting of international footballers is humorous because they don't fit the setting. here the sounds and music fit the mood perfectly creating a great parody of the wild west setting.

"Michael" PS3 advert

The Michael PS3 advert has a mix of 3 styles with drama and humor but mostly surrealism because all the famous PS3 game characters are sitting in a grotto with drinking and playing cards which is obviously surreal. This is a stand alone advert and has no series containing an anti realist narrative with fictional characters relaxing in a bar. We can see special effects on the clown character and kratos who is wearing make up and has been digitally enhanced we also have computer graphics present with the Play Station logo present at the beginning and end.
